Arizona Race to Resiliency serves as a platform to amplify the work of local governments, fostering collaboration and encouraging cities across Arizona to “join the race” towards a more resilient future.
The Arizona Race to Resiliency (AZR2R) is a friendly competition among Arizona's localities designed to showcase how local leaders can lead the way towards energy efficiency and sustainability. The AZR2R connects cities and counties to funding opportunities that can help reduce energy costs, add jobs, and build more resilient communities. The federal government, through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, has provided municipalities in Arizona of all sizes with numerous grant programs that can help communities reduce their vulnerability to environmental and economic uncertainties. Arizona has an opportunity to boost rural jobs, cut energy costs, and help communities become more resilient and prosperous in the long run.
